It’s unusual but we’re bringing you a band that we know little about – what is certain is that we loved their debut single in Spotify. Their alternative vibes, retro and fresh at the same time, are happy and amazing. Harty Har gives us a feeling close to the excitement you’d have if your 60s favourite band was back after 50 years preserving their sound, even for the choruses!
We don’t want to look pretentious being all this about a completely unknown band, but based on this track, it turns out to be complicated not to compare them with mythical bands like The Kinks or The Yardbirds. Subtle psychodelic influences and moderate good vibes that well might be a wink to bands as big as The Beach Boys or Jimmy Cliff. Modern, true, but without losing this seventies mood that we like a lot. It wouldn’t surprise us that this band is taking the 60s as reference, though on the other hand, who does not have this golden age as influence? Any band willing to sound good will, I suppose.
You have the chance to be of the first to check them in Spotify, they’re around 20k streams right now. We hope that little by little their numbers will increase by highlighting them in playlists such as our monthly Indie/Alt and other greatly relevant playlists such as the one curated by our dear friend and great curator Songpickr.
