Your Indie-Alt Soundtrack to December
Hi, monitos!
It’s been a while! You might have noticed that November is missing from this blog, but don’t worry — we still shared our monthly playlist on Spotify. Anyway, we’re back with some recommendations for December.
This month we’ve got a little bit of everything: energy, peace, craziness… We don’t like to get stuck in any one mood or genre (as you might have noticed).
New Indie Alternative December Playlist 2025
Can’t See – Westside Cowboy
Here’s a gentle reminder, that I love you so
Here’s a gentle reminder, you already know
Me and you can go the distance
No matter what’s between us
There ain’t a mountain top too high
Coming Up – Active Child
Active Child is back, monitos! After taking a little breather, he picked up his great-grandfather’s old 1950s D’Angelico guitar and boom!! sparked a whole new chapter.
His new single “Coming Up” is this gentle, folksy, quietly emotional hug of a song. Please, let him know we need him to continue making music.
But they keep coming upA long time now with yourselfThey keep coming upA long time now with yourself
Sippy Cup – My First Time
The rising band’s fourth new track of 2025, frontman Isaac explains to Kerrang! that it follows “a modern-day Caesar of beer drinking and disposable vape smoking, we offer the King Of The Sofa a sip from the golden chalice, promising endless parties, inflated confidence, and fleeting euphoria.
“There are no winners or losers when you’re too drunk to care. Inspecting the grim reality of escapism through vices, the protagonist remains trapped between the fingers of a broken system. Still, alcohol offers the illusion of freedom, confidence, and limitless possibility… all you have to do is drink from the golden chalice.”
Evangeline – Whitney, Maddison Cunningham
Whitney is back with a gem. The Chicago indie-soul duo dropped “Evangeline,” a dreamy, dramatic track lifted even higher by Madison Cunningham’s ethereal vocals. It’s honestly gorgeous.
When the magic’s gone, instead of moving onI hesitate and worryIf you cross my mindIs it out of lineTo let you know I’m sorry?
But that’s not all! If you like this list, you should give a chance to our month playlist (it’s updated every month with the best indie/alternative songs)
Bye!
