Haux – Touch · Indie Alternative

Haux – Touch · Indie Alternative
15th May 2017 Dam

We’re glad to introduce you one of our favourite artists this year. Haux (Woodson Black) is a singer / songwhisperer born in London and raised in Massachusetts. We stumbled upon him with his first songs – we got so excited when we found Homegrown or Seaside. His style and signature is clearly unique, the sound is genuine. Since then he never left our monthly discovery playlists, also thanks to his strategy of leaking songs periodically. We never got tired of listening to the same songs because of that – we’re actually craving for more, waiting faithfully for new songs. We also had the pleasure of enjoying a live concert in Where Is The Music Sweden this past February – he shines!

There is reminiscence of Talos, Fractures, C.Duncan or Dustin Tebbutt in his music – it’s curious that he always shares space in our playlists with Talos, the easy explanation is TALENT. Haux is the electro-chill representation of Bon Iver, where he gathers pieces of folk influence as well. There is an elegance also reminiscent of London Grammar and BANKS.

We want to highlight Touch – right now with more than 600k streams in Spotify. This last Friday we fell in love again with him when we found his cover of Daughter’s ‘Youth’. We really hope to have more Haux in the future and we wish the same for you 🙂
