Here we are with another edition of our monthly playlist. These are our best new indie/alternative songs for March that we’ve been listening to. You might have noticed that we haven’t written a monthly post these past few months, but that was because our pet monkey Nito was learning French, and it took too much time out of his schedule. (Eating bananas and writing blogs aren’t the only things he does—he’s actually really productive!)
Our March playlist is full of crazy rhythms, alternative sounds, and different genres.

THUS IS WHY (I DON’T SPRING 4 LOVE) – Saya Gray
Saya Gray is our headliner of the month. She just released her newest EP, SAYA, in which she explores a breakup. While this might seem like a fairly common theme, Saya adds her own personality to each song on the album. It sounds like a crazy combination of genres, and her dreamy voice acts as the glue holding the tracklist together.
In this song, she reflects on the idea of a relationship with someone whose affection changes like the seasons. Listen to her advice: Don’t fall in love in springtime

Toxic Romantic – DUCKWRTH
Blurring the lines between punk, alt-rock, and hip-hop, DUCKWRTH is unapologetically toxic. We wouldn’t want to be his partner, but we do love him as an artist.
“I’ve been very aware of the bad habits I perpetuate—like entertaining other women while in a relationship—but that awareness didn’t stop me from being selfish in the past,” says DUCKWRTH.
If you’re the kind of person who knows you’re the problem, here’s a song you’ll love:
“Bad bitches all in my mind
Swimming around in my thoughts all the time
Guilt trips driving me wild
I shake the dice and I do it with style”
Note: The rest of the lyrics are pure gold, but we can’t copy-paste the verses here because Nito is a bit sensitive to certain words (and also, we want to monetize this website at some point).
ICNBYH – CUCO
Well, this might make us sound bipolar or something because this song is the complete opposite of the previous one. If you like romantic, old-school ballads, this one might be more up your alley. The instrumental has really beautiful details, and Cuco’s voice shines through with his soft vocal style.

Nausicaä (Love Will Be Revealed) – Cameron Winter
To be honest, we have no idea what these lyrics are about:
(Watching from the side) you can’t smoke here
(Running of the bull) I’m feeling around
(Spinning of the wheel) I’m feeling for a pipe to go down
(Love will be revealed) yeah
But what we do know is that Cameron has a few hardcore fans on our team. If you love introspective music and artists like Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, you’re going to love his sound.
Capitan – edbl & bb sway
Artist/producer edbl is on track to becoming one of the UK’s most prolific collaborators. Only two years into his musical project, edbl—real name Ed Black—has already worked with over 50 artists. That’s quite a feat, and he’s only just getting started.
bb sway, the solo project of 24-year-old artist, writer, and producer Ash Johnston, brings a dreamy, mellow vibe to the mix. Together, they’ve created this chill, groovy song to remind us of the importance of taking responsibility for our time.
