Have you met GOVAN? Well, if you’ve read us before, very likely. That’s cause we already drooled over him in a recent Banana Interview. This indie artist from the Bay Area blends genres like R&B, Hip-Hop, and Pop to create a unique sound that’s both fresh and authentic.
Inspired by old-school R&B while embracing modern influences, GOVAN’s music reflects themes of love, masculinity, and social issues. This track “good2u” showcases his ability to channel raw emotion with smooth, relatable melodies.
In his creative process, GOVAN emphasizes collaboration and mindfulness, often meditating or journaling to capture genuine feelings and craft introspective lyrics. Aspirations? “Adore You” by BUNGALOW
BUNGALOW is a five-piece indie/dream-pop band from Scunthorpe, UK. Spearheaded by Joe Russell-Brown, this group grew from his home studio (which happens to be a bungalow).
The band explores different sounds and blends them within the indie and dream-pop genres. They debuted with the single “Separation Anxiety“, and more recently “Blue“. What’s for sure, is that they’re evolving a sonic identity and passion for creative experimentation.
This track continues their signature style of creating emotionally charged music while exploring deeper themes of love and connection. Their official video complements the song’s dreamy vibe, with visuals that evoke a sense of longing and nostalgia.
“Waste Your Breath” by Meraki Trice
Meraki Trice is an emerging artist blending electronic, R&B, and pop elements into a distinctive sound. Originally from the Southern U.S. and now based in Mexico City, his music explores themes of emotional depth, often focusing on personal resilience and self-discovery.
