FUNKED UP is the last single of Sandra Iris’ EP Moon Serenades. The uplifting pop/funk track addresses the topic of being delusional about a relationship, seeing signs or misreading them. This delusion feels like being drunk. The production includes psychedelic and trippy elements, like low-pitched voices and fuzzy and saturated textures to immerse the listener in this “parallel reality”. The influences for the track were mainly Dora Jar, Remi Wolf, Silk Sonic, and Still Woozy. It could fit in any indie pop/bedroom playlist with an optimistic feel.
