I Can’t Tonight I’m Going Online by Kiko Mori
This track is groovy and upbeat but also a bit reflective. It’s about neglecting one’s responsibilities and what is “right” to do, and learning that sometimes, it’s alright to waste time without feeling guilt or remorse, be it from work, responsibilities or even hanging out with friends. Very briefly, it’s about embracing doing nothing. Sonically, the track is a bit vintage sounding, but also very warm and punchy. It’s heavily inspired by City Pop and Japanese funk music.
