Game Over by Kiko Mori
The first release of 2022 from the Lisbon-born and based, multi-instrumentalist musician and producer Kiko Mori, whose musical style takes influence from a wide variety of genres such as Indie Pop, City Pop, Electronica, Lofi and Videogame Music.
Kiko’s debut EP Game Over will release in January of 2022, containing a few singles released in 2021, that collectively got over 800k streams, and were added to over 1500 playlists, including Mark Ronson‘s own weekly playlist “ZELECTS”.
This EP is an amalgamation of all the genres that have inspired and defined Kiko so far, including the groovy and catchy single I Can’t Tonight I’m Going Online, the dreamy and melancholic LoFi song Passing Time, and the modern blend of Electronic Music and Hyper Pop experienced in Game Over, among others.
With the single “Game Over”, Kiko invites you to remember and relive the good old days, where time was abundant and there was nothing to worry about, while staying aware of the fact that those days are over and not coming back. Despite starting slowly, the song is very upbeat, colourful and groovy, featuring many pop culture and foley elements, bringing to life the story that’s being told.
