Zaide is the first solo project of Katrina Maria Perillo, a 20-year-old songwriter and self-taught producer from Southern California. Zaide grew up about an hour away from Los Angeles in San Bernardino County. Being born and raised in the quiet suburbs, Zaide spent her time studying music theory and production, drawing inspiration from a multitude of producers, songwriters, and artists, such as Rostam, Sufjan Stevens, and Haim.
