Sara Cruz was born and raised – and still lives – in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Azorean at heart, this Portuguese singer-songwriter may be young, but she plays and sings like she’s been doing it for decades. Well… And she kind of has. Sara picked up the guitar when she was about 8, bust just a couple of years before she had already grabbed the drumsticks and started playing a toy drum like she knew exactly what to do. Started singing spontaneously, but it took her a few years to get past the shyness. She was 13 on her first gig, and 16 when she started taking it seriously. She’s not only played some of the most prestigious azorean venues, theatres and summer festivals, but she’s also played numerous shows in the mainland and even in London.
